Shades of autumn luxury cluster bracelet
This simple and elegant clear quartz and peach quartzite cluster bracelet forms part of the T's Twisted Collection. The two contrasting colours bring in those warm autumn tones that we will be beginning to see on the leaves all too soon from the quartzite and that clear purity of the quartz. The bracelet has been made using the ancient Japanese braiding technique called Kumihimo with tigers eye nuggets, s-lon cord and a silver plated copper clasp . Examples of kumihimo have been found dating back to 9000 years ago.
A little bit of history, myth and legend!
Kumihimo is a Japanese braiding technique. Early examples of the use of braiding can be found as far back as the Jomon period (8000-300 BC) but did not become more common place until the Nara period of Japan's history (AD 645-784) where it was a simple form of single loop braiding. Since these times kumihimo has become an integral part to Japanese culture and has been used in a functional and decorative way to lace up a Samuri and his horses armour. In Japan today kumihimo braids are used to tie haori, jackets, and are used for tying on obi a kimono sash.
