Larvakite & Frosted Quartzite silver earrings
These simple silver plated copper shepherd hook earrings have larvakite and frosted quartzite gemstones on them with silver plated chain which as you move will catch the light and sparkle.
Now for a bit of history, myth and legend!
Larvakite is often referred to as black labradorite or Norwegian moonstone. It is part of the feldspar family and is named for the Larvik Fjord region in Norway. It is a dark grey to bluey colour which when the light catches it has a beautiful shiller across it. The photographs of these earrings do not show this beautiful effect as it is very hard to capture. When you get these earrings home you should be able to see this effect.
Larvakite has many myths and legends associated with it and it is most commonly thought to be a protective, grounding stone and to help the brain take in new information more easily. Larvakite is though to calm the nerves and reduce blood pressure. It is also thought to be associated with the base chakra.
